Job Title: CDL Driver – Hercules Dumpster Rentals

Location: Dickinson, TX (serving Galveston to Houston)

Job Description:

Hercules Dumpster Rentals, a leading dumpster rental company serving the areas of Galveston to Houston, is currently seeking experienced CDL Drivers to join our team. As a CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery, pickup, and disposal of roll-off dumpsters.

Responsibilities:

1. Safe and Efficient Operations: Operate company-owned commercial vehicles, including roll-off trucks, with utmost care, adhering to all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
2. Dumpster Delivery and Pickup: Transport roll-off dumpsters (10 – 40 yards) to and from customer locations, ensuring accurate placement and securing of the containers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
3. Disposal Management: Safely transport loaded dumpsters to approved disposal sites, following designated routes and schedules while maintaining proper documentation of disposal activities.
4. Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition, promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate channels.
5. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional and courteous interactions with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving any concerns related to dumpster deliveries, pickups, or disposal.
6. Compliance and Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records, including trip logs, time sheets, delivery tickets, and disposal manifests, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company procedures.
7. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with dispatchers and other team members to optimize routes, schedules, and service efficiency, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
8. Safety Awareness: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), securing loads properly, and reporting any potential safety hazards or incidents immediately.

Requirements:

1. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate endorsements (minimum Class B) and DOT Medical Card.
2. Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past three years.
3. Experience: At least 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles, preferably with roll-off trucks or similar equipment.
4. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including loading/unloading dumpsters and working in various weather conditions.
5. Safety Consciousness: Strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of DOT regulations and best practices for safe vehicle operations.
6. Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
7. Reliability and Punctuality: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic, capable of meeting deadlines and maintaining a consistent schedule.
8. Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional weekends, extended hours, or overtime based on operational needs.
9. Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.
10. Geography Knowledge: Familiarity with the Dickinson, TX area, including Galveston to Houston, and surrounding regions.
